Overview of the Oregon Legislative Assembly
The Oregon House of Representatives and the Oregon Senate together form the Oregon Legislative Assembly, a bicameral body responsible for creating and enacting state laws.

The May 20, 2025 Special District Election, Yamhill County, Oregon,
This will include various positions across multiple districts. Candidates interested in filing for these positions should be aware of the following key dates and requirements:
Important Dates:

February 8, 2025: First day for candidates to file for office.

March 20, 2025: Deadline to file for candidacy or withdraw. All required forms and fees must be submitted to the Yamhill County Clerk's Office by 5:00 PM.

March 24, 2025: Last day for candidate statements to be filed for inclusion in the voters' pamphlet.

Filing Requirements:

By Fee: Submit the SEL 190 Candidate Filing Form along with a $10 fee.
-
By Petition: Submit the SEL 190 Candidate Filing Form, SEL 121 Candidate Signature Sheet, and SEL 338 Petition Submission Form with at least 25 valid signatures. It's recommended to collect more than the minimum required signatures to ensure validity.
Available Positions:
The election will cover various positions in fire districts, school districts, and other special districts within Yamhill County. For a comprehensive list of positions and current office holders, please refer to the Notice of District Election.
