100 YEARS AGO...
On January 12, 1920 the Oregon House and Senate passed a joint resolution to ratify the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution. The Speaker of the House and the Senate President signed off on the resolution on January 14, 1920. It was certified by the Oregon Secretary of State that same day. Oregon became the 25th state to ratify the 19th Amendment, giving women nationally the right to vote.
